    DESCRIPTION
    OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
    It is the object of the present invention, just as the title of the invention establishes a folding canopy or canopy system, which allows extending and collecting the hood as desired in a simple and effective way.
    Although the folding hood system is preferably designed for vehicles, its use is not limited to vehicles, and can be used on any space that you want to cover or leave uncovered.
    The present invention characterizes the special configuration and design of each and every one of the elements that are part of the hood or awning so that large surfaces can be covered, as well as leaving said surfaces uncovered once covered in a simple way where ensures the deployment and collection of the awning of each and every one of the folded parts.
    Therefore, the present invention is circumscribed within the scope of awnings and canopies to cover and discover wide spaces, particularly of the associated means for its deployment and collection.
    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
    In the state of the art, the awnings and canopies that are extended and collected are known, either mechanically or manually. In general, said awnings and canopies have a series of folds when they are collected in order to allow the reduction of the covered surface.

    When the surface to be covered or uncovered is relatively large, the awnings have a series of regularly distributed crossbars that help to form a series of folds, which attempt to form on a regular basis.
    These awnings also have a series of lateral guiding means that help to facilitate the collection and unfolding of the same, which nevertheless tend to fit frequently.
    However, there are a number of aspects that can be improved, such as the regular and uniform formation of the folds of the awning avoiding unwanted interpositions and folds, in addition to facilitating and improving guidance in a uniform manner and without unwanted obstructions.
    Therefore, it is the object of the present invention to develop a folding awning system that allows regular and uniform formation of the folds during the collection of the awning and a subsequent unfolding of them in a uniform manner and without engagement of the guiding means, developing a guidance system like the one described below and is reflected in its essentiality in the first claim.
    DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
    The object of the present invention is a folding canopy or awning system to cover and expose surfaces by means of a tarp, preferably used in vehicles, but being applied to all types of surfaces that one wishes to have the option of being able to cover and discover.
    The system object of the invention comprises:
    - A canvas that has rigid elements or bars fixed to the canvas and arranged transversely to its displacement.

    - A side guide means of the canvas on a structure or support
    - Means for forming and opening folds that conform to the canvas.
    The rigid bars attached to the canvas can be embedded or housed inside the canvas.
    The lateral guide means comprise guides fixed on the upper ends of the structure or support on which they slide, and sliding parts that run through said guides and on which the ends of the bars fixed to the canvas are fixed.
    The means for forming and opening folds comprise a first crank jointly connected to each slide, and a second crank also jointly attached to each slide.
    The first crank is arranged at the front or front of each slide according to the direction of travel, while the second slide is arranged at the rear of each slide according to the direction of travel.
    The free ends of each crank are joined together in an articulated manner, so that before the approach of each slide they are folded, and before the separation of the slides they are almost in horizontal position.
    Complementarily, and on the articular joint of the free ends of the cranks there is a horizontal bar that cooperates with the elevation of the canvas and the formation of the folds.

    EXPLANATION OF THE FIGURES
    To complement the description that is being made and in order to help a better understanding of the features of the invention, according to a preferred example of practical implementation thereof, a set of drawings is accompanied as an integral part of said description. where, with an illustrative and non-limiting nature, the following has been represented.
    In figure 1, we can see a vehicle with a canopy or canopy system like the one that is the object of the invention in the collected position

    In Figure 1 we can see a vehicle, although as noted above, it does not have to be limited to vehicles, it can be any type of construction that needs to be covered and discovered.
    On said vehicle of Figure 1, there is a drop-down awning (1) in a position collected on a body or support structure (2).
    In figure 2, it is shown how the awning (1) comprises a canvas (2) that has a series of rigid elements or bars (4), fixed or embedded in the canvas (1) and arranged transversely to the movement of the canvas, and a series of folds (5) that are arranged in the space between the bars (4).
    The crest of the folds (5) is formed in the center of the space between two bars (4).
    In figure 3, the lateral guiding means are shown, among others, comprising:
    - At least one guide (6) arranged on each side and fixed on the upper edge of the body or structure to be covered.
    - A series of sliders (7) that have rolling or similar means for advancing along the rail defined in the guide (6) with the bars (4) being joined at their ends.
    The lateral guides (6) can be arranged on the inner face of the support structure, on the outside or on both, this solution being preferred because of the stability it provides in the guidance, whereby the sliders will comprise and have such a design that allows rolling by the guides on each side.
    The means for forming and unfolding the folds (5) comprise:

    - A first crank (8) jointly connected on each slide (7) and arranged in the front part thereof according to the direction of travel.
    - A second crank (9) jointly connected on each slide (7) and arranged at the rear of it according to the direction of travel.
    - An articular joint of the free ends of the first crank (8) with a second crank (9) of an adjacent slide (7).
    Additionally, and in a complementary manner, on the articular joint (10) of the free ends of the cranks (8) and (9) of the adjacent slides, a horizontal bar (11) is arranged, as can be seen in the figure 4, and covering part of the transverse length of the canvas (1), being housed in a cavity defined by a fabric (13) fixed to the canvas (1) by its inner face.
    Finally, in figure 5 the fully collected canvas is shown, being able to appreciate how the slides (7) are attached to each other, and on the guide (6) there is a retention and blocking piece (12) of the canvas (1 ) when in the collected position.
    Thanks to the described means a regular formation of the folds is achieved, as well as a uniform unfolding of the same, a balanced guidance is also achieved which avoids fitting of the lateral guidance means.
    Describing sufficiently the nature of the present invention, as well as the way of putting it into practice, it is stated that, within its essentiality, it may be implemented in other embodiments that differ in detail from that indicated by way of example. , and which will also achieve the protection sought, provided that it does not alter, change or modify its fundamental principle.
